The VMware Academic Program (VMAP) is a comprehensive program prepared for the academic community. Academic users around the world who are qualified as VMAP member organizations can use this program to easily access state-of-the-art virtualization technology and resources at no cost.

  • Free disposable licenses provided through the Academic Software Licensing Program can only be used for educational and non-commercial research.
  • Educational use is defined as conducting an educational class, lab, or related program.
  • Research use is defined as conducting a non-profit, non-profit research project within an undergraduate or related research group.
  • Infrastructure use is defined as the use of software as part of an affiliated organization's infrastructure, not primarily intended for educational or research use (as defined above).

Unauthorized use cases
  • Students, faculty, or other stakeholders who are licensed under the program but are not attending or employed by an institution
  • Staff who are not directly involved in system management related to the program, such as administrative assistants, cannot install the software on their personal computers.
  • Software that is part of the program may not be shared with unauthorized departments. However, if students in an approved department use the lab on a regular basis, it can be installed in a shared lab.

How to Use
  1. Sign in to WebStore　using our ADFS authentication(account name @sic, Windows password）
  2. Download VMWare products
  3. Install (license key is the serial number displayed at the time of download)

Suspension of use

After losing the status of our university due to graduation, retirement, withdrawal, etc., you will not be able to use it after the expiration date.
