MyVolume is home directory *.
It is the place where the configuration file and user and personal files for using the computers (Windows, unix, Linux) of Center for Science Information.
* Home directory gives each user one area of his own directory file to use UNIX. This directory file is called "home directory".

Purpose |
Center for Science Information's computers share one computer with many users. As a result, the user will use a different computer every day, but since MyVolume is called from the server, it can be used anywhere in the same environment. With clerical PC, you can move to other departments on other campuses, and do business in your own environment even on business trips.

- If you put data used in a laboratory or class created in a personal terminal in MyVolume, you can use it at the teacher's PC.
- You can use your SRAS VPN connection to transfer MyVolume data from your business trip destination or home.
- Scan data can be transferred from Multi-function printer (TaskAlfa 5052ci / 4551ci) to MyVolume.

- Watch out for over usage of MyVolume
If the undergraduate student's capacity limit is 40 GByte and that of the graduate student exceeds 40 GByte, the computer can not be used smoothly.
- Do not delete configuration files or folders
In MyVolume, there are folders and files necessary for using the computer, such as configuration files of Windows software and configuration files required to log in to UNIX. Do not delete folder names or file names that begin with a dot (.). Documents with names beginning with a dot are the setup folders and files you need to use your computer. These are automatically created in MyVolume. If you delete it by mistake, you may not be able to log in to UNIX or the software may not operate properly.
If you want to delete folders and files in MyVolume, be sure to check them before deleting them.
