Email Security
We have installed a targeted attack prevention system (FireEye/Trellix Email Security) for full-time faculty and administrative staff.
When suspicious e-mails are detected, they are automatically quarantined.
A quarantine notification email is sent at 15:00 daily.
※ Please be sure to check your quarantine e-mail for false positives.
- Emails that have been marked as spam can be released from a link in the quarantine notification email.
- Quarantined emails are automatically deleted after 14 days.
- Please be aware that quarantine notification e-mails may be judged as spam by Gmail.
- If frequently false positives occur with a specific e-mail address, please contact the Informational Innovation Section.
- Detection omissions can also occur. Please be aware of incoming e-mails on a regular basis.
- It is possible that you may receive an email disguised as a quarantine notification email from Emotet, Qakbot, or other types of malware that send reply-type emails.
- If you receive a suspicious e-mail, please report it to SIT-CSIRT (csirt@shibaura-it.ac.jp).
