質問集（FAQ）

Alias means another address to be named another from an email address.
Concretely, add the string like "+×××" to "○○○@shibaura-it.ac.jp" addrss. "○○○+×××@shibaura-it.ac.jp" is the alias address for original one "○○○+×××@shibaura-it.ac.jp".

例)
Original address : aa00000@shibaura-it.ac.jp
Alias address 1 : aa00000+hoge@shibaura-it.ac.jp
Alias address 2 : aa00000+example@shibaura-it.ac.jp

How to create the alias address.

１．Click the Gmail "Settings(gear mark)". 

２．Click "show all settings".

３．Click "account" tab.

４．Click "add another email address".

 ５．Check "treat as an alias", fill in the alias address you want to. (The alias address example is refer to the top of page content.)

 ６．Click "next step". The settings has done.

To start using Gmail with your university account for the first time, you must first apply for it using AMI.

If you've used it and forgot it, please reset your Gmail password on AMI.

Also, please note that your Gmail password is not the same as your Scomb password.

You will need to login to Gmail again with your student account.

(1) Click on the icon of your current account in the upper right corner.

(2) Click "Add another account".

(3) Enter the information for your student account.

※If you have forgotten your Gmail password, you will need to reset it in AMI.

When using gmail in Outlook, set it on both the Outlook side and the gmail side.

【Gmail settings】

• Enable IMAP
  ■ gmail "Settings"> Mail forwarding and POP / IMAP> Check "Enable IMAP"
• Enable "Allow insecure apps"
  ■ gmail "Settings"> Email forwarding and POP / IMAP> Details> If you can't log in to your email client> Allow insecure apps to access your account> Enable "Allow insecure apps"
   

【Outlook settings】

• If you are a student, select Google because you cannot access the on-campus server.

Is it possible to turn off Spam Quarantine email quarantine? (The accuracy is not so good and important emails are sometimes caught.)

It can be set on the AMI.
When you log in to AMI (from the campus network), you will see a link called "Spam Measures"
Click here on the left pane
You can choose from three types: "Judgment + isolation", "Judgment only", and "Don't judge".
In the case of judgment only, the result will be reflected in the Subject.

You can access the STATION(unix password) and create it by the following procedure. (Teacher only)

1. Press “Show advanced options” in the TALENT ML settings.

2. Scroll and press “Add Participant Address” in the external participant address.

3. Enter the address to be added to the input box.

4. Check if ML mail is also delivered to the above address.

5. Execute the process and save the result.

If you don't check item 4, you can post to the ML, but your mail will be treated as a non-forwarding address.

If you receive the above error mail from the Mail Delivery System, it means that the recipient's mail box is full. If teacher is using Gmail, it is likely that they are also reading mail.

※Since it cannot be imported in text format when imported into Outlook, it is necessary to paste the exported data into excel and save it in CSV format. Please use the following excel file.
