FAQ

Unable to send print job

Category: Print(印刷)
  1. First, check the queue name and host name
Especially for Kyocera, you may have forgotten to write the host name (spl3.sic.shibaura-it.ac.jp) and queue name (KX_Student ID) when setting up, or you may have entered the student ID number in upper case.

You can log in to the Gakujyutsu PC with your student ID number capitalized, but the printers will not work properly.
((In the print job list, jobs with the student ID number capitalized will appear in red bold type, so check it out.)

  2. Delete & reconfigure printer settings for now
Delete the registered printer settings and set them again according to the manual of the academic affairs.
If you get a port-related error here, try deleting the printer's port settings.

  3. If your antivirus software is misbehaving
If you are currently using Source Next's "Super Security," it has been confirmed that the firewall is interfering.
  • First, right-click the Super Security icon that is resident in the task tray (right end of the taskbar) and click "Panel View".
  • The Super Security window will open, and click "Protection" from the menu on the left side.
  • Click "Settings" under "Firewall" in the list of protection functions.
  • In the "Blocking Rules" tab of the firewall, click "Add Blocking Rule".
  • Turn on "Apply this rule to all applications" and open the "Advanced" tab
  • Turn on "Custom Remote Address" and enter 202.18.120.120 in IP: and click OK at the bottom.
  • If this does not work, try restarting your computer once.

  • Tip :
    • You can use the nslookup command at the command prompt to find out the IP address.
      > nslookup spl3.sic.shibaura-it.ac.jp
      サーバー: onsi0.sic.shibaura-it.ac.jp
      Address: 202.18.117.8

      名前: spl3.sic.shibaura-it.ac.jp
      Address: 202.18.120.120

By specifying the Address at the bottom of this, the job will be flown.

    • You also need to allow dspl2.sic.shibaura-it.ac.jp (202.18.120.77) to skip jobs to the plotter.
