How to install
1. Download GlobalProtect software for MacOS, then open it.Download URL: gpvpn.sic.shibaura-it.ac.jp
Login using the Username*1 and Password*2 (of Windows/ADFS of Center for Science Information), and then tap LOGIN.
*1 Username must remove @sic and below.
例)aa999999 aa999999@sic
*2 The password of Windows/ADFS is same one for login to Scomb, you can change it from AMI.
Select the file to download according to your PC.

2. Install the software. There is no configuration during install.If “System Extension Blocked” message will appear, apply next procedure "3.".
3. If “System Extension Blocked” message will appear, Click “Open Security Preferences” then Allow “Palo Alto Networks” on Security & Privacy Panel.

How to Install
1. Download and Install GlobalProtect(Developer: Palo Alto Networks) on Android OS from Google Play Store.
2. Launch the GlobalProtect app and enter the GlobalProtect portal address as below.

Then tap "CONNECT"
3. Enter your Username*1 and Password*2 (Windows/ADFS of Center for Science Information), and then tap "SIGN IN".

The anti-virus software Sophos macOS 11 (Big Sur) cannot be updated because it is waiting for the manufacturer to support it.
Please wait for a while to install Sophos on macOS 11.

Preparation
Download Instllation package
1.First, click the link below to download the SAV package to any location (desktop, ect.).
Sophos Anti-Virus installer for Mac OS X 10.8 or later
2.If you download the above from off-campas (via the Internet), you will be asked to authenticate yourself (skip if you download on-campus).
To install or update to an off-campus system, you need to apply for "Sophos home use" (= register SAV update password) at AMI in advance.

If you feel that the wireless LAN connection of the laptop computer you brought to the university is not working properly, please check the following.
1. Once in the classroom, turn WiFi off-> on and connect to a nearby AP (Access Point).
When you move a classroom, it may remain connected to the AP of the previous classroom, so once you turn it OFF-> ON, you will be connected to a nearby AP.
2. Disable (or set only one) automatic connection.

Things to keep in mind when sharing files on Google Drive
You can share files with people inside and outside the university on Google Drive. When sharing a file, depending on the setting, it may be "viewable by anyone who knows the link". In that case, if the URL is leaked, anyone can view the file, so it is not safe. Be sure to check the sharing method before sharing.
When sharing files, set a deadline to stop file sharing or delete shared files.

From September 2021, faculty will no longer receive a password notification letter, but will receive a user ID notification letter.

You can transfer incoming calls to your extension PHS number.There are three types of transfer methods.
1.Unanswered transfer
If the incoming call is not answered within 20 seconds, it will be transferred to the forwarding phone number.
Setting method:
1. From the extension PHS, call 11.
2. When you hear a sound, press the transfer destination phone number.(If the transfer destination is an outside line, add 0 for 0 transmission at the beginning.)。Registration is complete when you hear a beep.
