Plagiarism Detection System(iThenticate)

iThenticate is an online plagiarism detection tool consisting of academic journals, academic publisher publications, and internet web pages. In order to reduce the risk of unnecessary suspicion of plagiarism and theft of academic papers and to support researchers, the SIT has introduced this system in 2018.
In the past, the number of users was limited and applications were required to use iThenticate, however iThenticate system will be available to all full-time faculty members starting in the 2021 academic year.
Please refer to the following information before using iThenticate.

 

Eligible users

Full-time faculty members

(Students are not allowed to use this service, but faculty members can check students' papers by using iThenticate.)

Purpose To reduce the risk of unnecessary suspicion of plagiarism and theft of academic papers and to support researchers.
Document submission limit Unlimited

Please go to the iThenticate login page (https://app.ithenticate.com/en_us/login
and enter your email address for university account ("@sic.shibaura-it.ac.jp" email address)
and the temporary password you received from “noreply@ithenticate.com” to log in.
