①Click on the Global Protect icon on the screen.

【Solution1】

The symptom may be improved by restarting your PC.

※Normally, when you open GlobalProtect, "Not connected" is displayed in bold in the center, but in rare cases it may be displayed as "Disconnected". At this time, there seems to be no response even if you click "Connect".
In most cases, restarting the PC will return to the "not connected" notation and the connection will be correct.

【Solution1】

If restarting does not improve the symptom, uninstall GlobalProtect and then install it again.
In that case, please go to the following manual URL and refer to the manual that matches the OS of your PC from the guide at the bottom of the page.

• I tried to connect to GlobalProtect, but instead of "Connected", "Connecting" and "Continuing" continue to appear (Mac OS)
• GlobalProtect indicates "Connection failed"

Open the window by clicking on the "Three Lines" and then on "Settings".

Make sure that "User" is correct. If you make a mistake, "sign out".
Make sure the Portal server name is correct. "Edit" or "Delete" if wrong and enter the correct server name.

Click Connect again.

There is a possibility that the OS has disabled the GlobalProtect function or the set address is incorrect.
First,
Open "System Preferences" on your Mac and open "Security & Privacy" to display the screen of step 3 in the manual.
Select "Allow applications from App Store and trusted developers" and click the "Allow" button below it.
If you still cannot connect, the address may be incorrect, so once you uninstall → install, you can enter the server URL again.

[Symptoms]
Why can't I connect to the Internet from my laptop even if Microsoft IE and Edge are connected by VPN only?
If you can't connect anything, try it.

[Solution]
① Access "Internet Options" (accessible from the search button in the start button on the lower left)

➡ “Internet Properties” pops up
② Click “Connect” on the tab
③ Click “SRAS VPN” in the box under “Dial-up and Virtual Private Network Settings”
④ Click “Settings”

➡ “Local Area Network (LAN) settings” pops up
⑤ Uncheck “Automatically detect settings” in “Automatic settings”
⑥ Adapt the changes and finish

Currently, the Center for Science Information does not have a guide for connecting to SRAS VPN on Linux.

To install GlobalProtect, please refer a guide by paloalto below.

※This is an on-campus network-only page, so SRAS-VPN connection is required.

GlobalProtect requires a connection procedure after installation.

SRAS VPN(GlobalProtect) Users guide for Mac OS

If you follow the above steps, you will be able to connect to SRASVPN through GlobalProtect.

The ShareFolder and MyVolume for each individual used in the class need to be connected to SRASVPN and then another connection process is required.

It depends on the following two cases.

1. Case of using GrobalProtect

There is a limit to disconnect after 120 minutes from connection.

2. Case of using the VPN settings that we have been providing

There is no disconnection limit due to the passage of time.

 In addition to SSTP, there is another way to connect to the campus network: Global Protect.

GlobalProtect's manual is available for off-campus use.

If you want to connect with L2TP+IPSec or SSTP, please refer to the manual

after connecting to the campus network with GlobalProtect.

SRAS VPN becomes the correspondence only for IPv4, but it is IPv4 and can be connected even if you use the v6 plus.

When a problem occurs, please invalidate IPv6 on a PC.
