Mathematica Stand-Alone Licensing

Only faculty and students at the University can apply for a stand-alone license to use Mathematica in an offline environment, such as at home or on a business trip.
The application method is different between teachers and students.

 

Target persons

All students and faculties and staff (full-time faculties, part-time faculties, postdocs, and full-time staff etc.) in SIT

Scope fo use Campus and home computers
License Expiration Up to the end of the application year (Upon termination of the license agreement)
Requesting an activation key again for next year's use.
Number of licenses that can be applied for Up to one PC per person

How to use

(For students)

  1. Create Account
    Access WOLFRAM USER PORTAL and create an account.
    Account creation method
    *Please use your school's e-mail address (@ shibaura-it.ac.jp, @ sic.shibaura-it.ac.jp). Private email addresses are not approved.
  2. Requesting an Activation Key
  3. Install  (Don't forget activation.)

How to use

(For faculties)

  1. Create Account
    Access WOLFRAM USER PORTAL  and create an account.

    *Please use your school's e-mail address (@ shibaura-it.ac.jp, @ sic.shibaura-it.ac.jp). Private email addresses are not approved.
  2. Requesting an Activation Key (faculty)
    *After approval by the Center for Science Information, it usually takes 1 ~ 3 business days for Wolfram Inc. in the United States to issue a key (No email notification of completion).
    *When applying for license continuation, select [An extension for existing home-use license] in [What are you requesting?].
  3. Obtaining an Activation Key and Downloading Your Product*Try it 1 to 3 days after step 2.
    How to check "activation key" and download the product
    *The file you download is the same file that was placed for your network license.
  4. Install  (Don't forget activation.)

Note

  • Commercial use of this license is prohibited.
  • The transfer or lending of the student stand-alone license to a third party is prohibited by the license agreement.
  • Students and faculty members are responsible for managing issued licenses.
  • If the device installed by the faculty member is lost, contact the Center for Science Information immediately.
  • The number of licenses available is one per person.
  • If you wish to install the software on multiple machines, please use a network license.
