Let's use e-mail

We provide you with Gmail as your email environment at Shibaura Institute of Technology.
You will receive announcements from the university and class information via email.
Since sending and receiving e-mail is an essential part of university life, be sure to have it available.

Note: Once one month has passed after enrollment, you will no longer be able to log in to an account that has not set up two-step verification!
How to Log In to Gmail
Your email address is,

e.g.) aa00000@shibaura-it.ac.jp
※If you do not know your SIC ID, you can find it in the “[Shibaura Institute of Technology] Important Notice Regarding Account Setup” sent to the e-mail address you registered at the time of application or at the time of admission procedures.

1.How to Set Up Google 2-Step Verification
Two-step verification is required to log in to university Google account.
You will use your smartphone for two-step verification.
(If the Gmail app is not installed, install it from the App Store, Google Play, etc.)
1.1. Add your account of SIT
1.1.1. Tap the account icon in the top right and select ‘Add another account.’
(The screen may look slightly different for first-time users of the Gmail app.)
1.1.2. Select "Google".

1.1.3. Log in your account of university([STUDENT ID]@shibaura-it.ac.jp).
The password of your account is same as Google Password which you set in Step 1.
※Copying and pasting your password may insert unintended spaces, which can cause password errors.
※If you do not check “Also Change the password of Campus Gmail,” your password may not match your Windows password.
※If you continue to receive password errors even when entering it manually, please return to Step 1 and set your password again.

1.1.4. Confirm terms of service. Scroll to the bottom and click "I undetstood".

1.2. Set the 2-step verification at Management Settings
1.2.1 Tap the top right account icon.
1.2.2 Tap the "Manage your Google account" button.
1.2.3. Proceed to "Security", then "2-Step Verification Process".

1.2.4. When the two-step verification page opens, scroll to the bottom and tap “Enable two-step verification.”

1.2.5.Tap the "Turn on two-step verification" button.
1.3 Phone Number for Reset Settings
1.3.1 Open “Recovery phone” from the “Security & sign-in” settings.
At this time, you will be asked to enter your password.
1.3.2 Select “Add phone number” for reset.
1.3.3 Select your country and enter your phone number.
This completes the setup of the phone number for resetting.
1.4 Email Address for Reset Settings
1.4.1 Open “Recovery email” from the “Security & sign-in” settings.
At this time, you will be asked to enter your password.
1.4.2 Select "Add a recovery email address"
1.4.3 Enter an email address other than your student ID email address that you personally own.
1.4.4 A confirmation code will be sent to the email address you entered. Please enter it.
This completes the setup of the email address for resetting your password.
2. How to Log In to Gmail Using Two-Step Verification
2.1. Access Gmail(https://mail.google.com)
2.2. Enter your university Gmail address and select [Next].
ex)aa00000@shibaura-it.ac.jp
2.3. Enter your password and select [Next].
2.4. Notifications will be sent to the Google apps on your smartphone (such as YouTube and Gmail).
2.5. Confirm that this is your device, then select [Yes, it's me].
2.6. You can log in to Gmail.
