How to create and submit issues in Google Classroom

I will show you how to create and submit an assignment file in Classroom.

How to create an issue

1. For my name and file name: The assignment is assigned to an individual.

Open it in a slide or spreadsheet for editing on the web.

2. File name only: The issue is assigned to a class or group.

This is also editable on the web. If you want to edit it by yourself, download it and then edit it.

How to submit an assignment

① When submitting the distributed work

1. After editing the issue, click Submit.

② When submitting an assignment created by yourself

1. Click Add or Create

2. Select the files to create or add.

To attach a Word, Excel, or PowerPoint file, click the file in the red frame,

Add issues by dragging and dropping.

３．Confirm that the created/attached file is displayed, and click Submit.

How to change the file sharing settings in Google Classroom

Here's how to change the file sharing settings in Classroom.

１．On the drive screen of the class, right-click on the file you want to change the sharing settings on, and click

Select "Get a shareable link".

２．Open the red frame and check "shibaura-it".

３．Click on the link settings.

4．Put a check mark in the red frame.

5．You can copy the link and paste it into your Google Classroom chat to see the file.

•  The way to check if folder was shared

　　　Open the Google Drive on the browser. If the folder icon is image below, sharing is successful.

• The way to check if file was shared

　　　Open Google Drive on  the browser and click the view list at hte top right of the screen.

           If the image on the right of the file name is image below, sharing is successful.

I'm very sorry, but
Due to the university's operational policy, students cannot open or use Google Sites.
We also cannot specifically authorize this.

You can use your Gmail of G suite for education which you had used in college after you graduated.. However, this does not guarantee a permanent use, and this service may be suspended due to changes in G Suite for Education service or changes necessary for management after you graduated.

It can be used as a temporary storage location, but if you want to use it as a file storage,  you should manage important files in two ways.

[Symptoms]
Why can't I connect to the Internet from my laptop even if Microsoft IE and Edge are connected by VPN only?
If you can't connect anything, try it.

[Solution]
① Access "Internet Options" (accessible from the search button in the start button on the lower left)

➡ “Internet Properties” pops up
② Click “Connect” on the tab
③ Click “SRAS VPN” in the box under “Dial-up and Virtual Private Network Settings”
④ Click “Settings”

➡ “Local Area Network (LAN) settings” pops up
⑤ Uncheck “Automatically detect settings” in “Automatic settings”
⑥ Adapt the changes and finish

The access permission may not be set definitely.
With reference to the following pages, please set access permission definitely.

Please set an appropriate thing after having checked it about the set point of access permission by yourself.

In the URL mentioned above, you set it with "755" in public_html, but please set it after having understood a meaning, and  be released.

We would like to explain how to check attendance at INFOSS.

3.Click on either area highlighted in red

4.Click on the area highlighted in red.(評定)

5.When students have taken the examination, grades and percentages are shown next to each items.

After logging in, you can switch the INFOSS menu etc. to English by switching "Japanese (ja)" in the upper left to "English (en)".

However, with this alone, the texts and tests are still in Japanese.

When you take the course, open "INFOSS Information Ethics" from "Course overview" on the screen after logging in, and then scroll down to find the English version of the text and test in the "English version" section.

The iOS version of Office is not exactly the same as the PC version of Office.
Please use the PC version of Office for functions that are not available on the iOS version.

You need to install Office 365 for iOS from Appstore.

When the app installed on iOS is first launched, sign in using your university account and the app is available.

Exapmle of mail address to sign in is "aa00000@sic.shibaura-it.ac.jp".

When you install a software with ISO in Windows, you may fail to open ISO file with double-click. 

In this case, right-click the ISO file and select "Mount".

※Before execute the installer, please make sure that the installer is suitable for your device like target OS.

Currently, the Center for Science Information does not have a guide for connecting to SRAS VPN on Linux.

To install GlobalProtect, please refer a guide by paloalto below.

※This is an on-campus network-only page, so SRAS-VPN connection is required.

Please try the following steps, because the keyboard changes in the X window of Linux.

1. After logging in, select the menu System(システム) → Settings(設定) → Hardware(ハードウェア) → Keyboard(キーボード).

2. Press the layout(レイアウト) tab of the displayed window.

3. Press the button to restore defaults(デフォルトに戻す).

4. Press the close(閉じる) button.

5. Select System(システム) → Logout(ログアウト) from the menu.

Please try again after 30 seconds.
If that doesn't change, try the above steps several times.

GlobalProtect requires a connection procedure after installation.
Please check the manual below for more information.

SRAS VPN(GlobalProtect) Users guide for Mac OS

If you follow the above steps, you will be able to connect to SRASVPN through GlobalProtect.

The ShareFolder and MyVolume for each individual used in the class need to be connected to SRASVPN and then another connection process is required.

When you install specific software on macOS, the warning "System Extension Blocked" may display and installation or execution may fail.

If the warning occurs in an appplication provided by SIC or a class, you can continue to install and run in the following ways. 

* If it occurs with software that you have downloaded yourself, install it at your own risk.

1. Open "System Preferences" and click "Security & Privacy".

2. Click the key icon to certificate your account.

3. Click "Allow" button.

You can only use office on the latest three versions of macOS.

Currently, there are three OSes that can use office: "Big Sur", "Catalina", and "Mojave 2(as of March 2021). If you are using an OS other than these, you will need to update.

The application required by AMI to use MATLAB is to apply for an "Gakunin" account.

Please follow the instructions below to download and install the software after you apply for Gakunin account

 If you have applied for a "Gakunin" account before and have forgotten your  Gakunin password, log in to AMI and change your password by clicking "Change Password→Gakunin" in the menu on the left.

MS365のWordやExcelが、「サインインする必要があります・・・」とポップアップが表示され保存できない場合は。

PCの所有者が個人のOneDriveと学校のOneDriveのアカウントを二つインストールしており、競合が発生している可能性があります。

ライセンスのある学校のOneDriveのみを共有する設定にすると解決します。

方法は、

1. ツールバーの右端にあるOneDriveのアイコンをクリック
2. 設定を開く
3. Officeを開く
4. 「Officeアプリケーションを使用して、開いている・・・」のチェックを個人アカウントの場合は外し、
   校用のほうは入れておく
5. Wordなどに戻って保存できることを確認

You can import IE or Google Chrome favorites into Microsoft Edge, also import browsing history, saved passwords,  and other data.
Follow the procedure below to import.

1. Select "Settings and more " at the top right of the browser, or Alt + F.
2. Select "Settings".
3. Click "Import from another browser".
4. Select the browser and the items to import, and select Import.
