Create new survey

1. Create a new survey

1.1 New Survey Registration
Clicking the "Create New" button of a questionnaire on the "Edit Courses TOP" screen will take you to the "New Questionnaire Registration" screen.

 

1.2 Editing Survey Items
 ① Questionnaire Name
   Enter the name of the survey (up to 255 characters).

 ② Questionnaire Content
   Enter a brief description of the survey (up to 1300 characters)

 ③ Response period
   Set the response period for the survey.
   (Can be specified in "YYYYY/MM/DD", "HH:MM" format)

 ④ Questionnaire type
   Set whether it is a normal survey or a clicker (normal)
   For more information on survey types, see "Survey Question Types.

 ⑤ Name/no name
   Set whether the questionnaire is a registered or unregistered questionnaire.

 ⑥ Response modification
   Enable/disable re-response

 ⑦ Publication of survey results
   Set whether or not the results will be made available to enrollees.

 ⑧ Result release period
   Set the period during which the results are to be released to the enrolled students.
   (Can be specified in "YYYYY/MM/DD", "HH:MM" format)
   Displayed only when set to [Public] in the [⑦] Publication of survey results.

 ⑨ Target
  Decide from the following to make the survey public.
  All enrolled students
    Select User Group
    User groups must be created in "User Group Management" beforehand.
  Select the students
  A list of students will be displayed when selected.


 

 ⑩ Template setting
   Pre-registered templates can be selected.
   [Select template]. pull-down menu ⇒.
   Select a template ⇒.
   [Click the "Apply" button

 ⑪ Creation of new questions
    New questions can be created (Moves to the "Create New Question" screen)

 ⑫ Register as a template
   Register the created question as a template

 ⑬ Answer Screen Preview
   Preview of the screen where the student will answer the questions can be displayed.

 

 

1.3 Confirmation and Registration of Survey Contents

After completing the form, click the "Proceed to Confirmation Screen" button to move to the "Confirm Registration Details" screen.
After confirming that the information is correct, click the "Register" button.
The message "Completed. is displayed, the registration is complete.
*When the response period arrives, the survey will be displayed on the "Course TOP" screen of the students who have set the survey as open to the public. The survey title and  NEW will be displayed for 3 days from the start of the response period.

 

2. Create new survey questions

 2.1 Editing Questions

①Question Format
 Select a question format from the pull-down menu
 *The pull-down menu will differ depending on the "Survey Type" selected when creating a new survey.
  For details on question types, please refer to "Survey Question Types.

②Response Required
 
Set whether or not a response is required.

③Question
 
Enter a description of the question (survey content)

④Number of items to be answered
 
Set the number of response items.
 Not displayed for descriptive type.

⑤Response items and score
 Set response items and scores
 *The number of items changes according to the contents of (4).
 *The "score" is used for tallying.
 *Negative values can be set. (This will not be displayed for respondents.)

⑥Comment field
 Set whether or not students are allowed to enter comments (up to 1300 characters) on their responses.

⑦ Image
 Register the image as an attachment to the question.
 *The image file formats that can be registered are gif, jpg, and png.

⑧Table and graph display
 Set the format for displaying the total results when publishing the survey results.
 Tables and graphs can be displayed from the following links.
    Course administrator: Link for displaying tables and graphs that exist in the questionnaire in the course TOP (Edit/View)
    Enrollees: Link to check survey results in the course TOP.
⑨Markup function
 Markup is available for "Question Content".
 *For details on the markup function, please refer to "Markup Function for Text" in the Scomb manual.

 

 

2.2 Registration of questions

Create a question and click the "Register" button to register the question in the survey. The order of the questions can be changed on the "Survey Registration/Edit" screen.

 

3. Questionnaire format

 The question format differs depending on the survey type.

  Normal Questionnaire

 The following seven types of questions are available for regular surveys.
 ・Single-choice (radio buttons)
 ・Multiple choice (checkboxes)
 ・Text format (text box)
 ・Free text format (text area)
 ・List selection format (pull-down)
 ・Single-choice table format (radio buttons)
 ・Multiple choice table format (checkboxes)

Clicker (Normal)

The following two types of clicker question types are available
Single choice (radio button)
Text format (text box)

 

4. Survey template creation

The created questions can be registered as templates.
*The created template can be used for other subjects as well.
*Templates created by other course administrators can also be used within the same subject area.

 

Clicking the "Register as Template" button on the "Survey Registration/Edit" screen will take you to the "Confirm Template Registration Details" screen.

 

①Template Title
 By default, the template title is registered with the same name as the survey name.
 The template title can be changed by editing the template after it is registered.
 *You can duplicate a template title, but it will be indistinguishable when used, so it is recommended to set a different title.

Confirm the contents of the template and click the "Register" button.
The template registration is complete. is displayed, template registration is complete.

 

5. Edit or delete survey templates

 

Clicking the "Edit Template" button of a questionnaire on the "Edit Courses TOP" screen will take you to the "Survey Template List" screen.

 

Click on the link of the [Template Title] you wish to edit, and you will be taken to the "Edit Template" screen.


After completing the form, click the "Confirm" button to move to the "Confirm Registration Details" screen.

After confirming that the information is correct, click the "Register" button.
The message "Template registration is complete. is displayed, the registration is complete.

Click the "Delete" button to delete the template.
